China is exploring the creation of an interest rate corridor, Yi Gang, vice-governor of the Peoples Bank of China said on Sunday.

央行副行長易綱6日表示，中國正在探索打造利率走廊。

易綱對利率走廊（interest rate corridor）的概念為：中央銀行通過提供一個存款和貸款的便利，主如果給商業(yè)銀行提供如此的便利（the central bank introduces deposit and lending facilities to commercial banks），中央銀行定存款和貸款的利率區(qū)間，通過如此一個利率區(qū)間調(diào)控和引導(dǎo)利率，如此一個機制就稱之為利率走廊。

利率走廊的推行有益于穩(wěn)定商業(yè)銀行預(yù)期，防止預(yù)期利率暴漲而出現(xiàn)囤積流動性（hoard1 liquidity）傾向，從而達到穩(wěn)定利率用途。
