Psalm of Life 人生禮頌

Tell me not in mournful numbers, 請(qǐng)別用哀傷的詩(shī)句對(duì)我講；

Life is but an empty dream!

人生呵，無(wú)非是虛夢(mèng)一場(chǎng)！

For the soul is dead that slumbers 因?yàn)槌了�的靈魂如死一般，


And things are not what they seem. 事物的表里并不如一。

Life is real! Life is earnest!

人生是實(shí)在的！人生是熱烈的！

And the grave is not its goal;

人生的目標(biāo)決不是墳?zāi)梗?br />
Dust thou art , to dust returnest,

你是塵土，應(yīng)歸于塵土。

Was not spoken of the soul.

此話(huà)指的并不是我們的精神。

Not enjoyment , and not sorrow, 我們的歸宿并不是快樂(lè)，

Is our destined and our way;

也不是悲傷，

But to act, 實(shí)干

That much to-morrow.

才是我們的道路，

Find us farther than to-day.

每天不斷前進(jìn)，蒸蒸蒸日上。

Art is long , and time is fleeting. 光陰易逝，而藝海無(wú)涯，

Still , like muffled drums , are beating

Be a hero in the strife!

Trust no future.howe’er pleasant!

Let the dead Past bury its dead!

Act,act in the living Present!

Let us,then,be up and doing,

With a heart for any fate;

下定決心，不管遭遇怎樣；

Still achieving,still pursuing

Learn to labour and to wait.
